Lunar Eclipse January 20-21

A Total Lunar Eclipse will be visible from Wyoming on January 20-21, primarily on Sunday evening, but the last of the penumbra will still be visible into the first minutes of Monday.

Lunar eclipses occur when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned in a perfectly straight line, so that the Earth’s shadow falls across the moon and darkens it. Observing times for this lunar eclipse are listed below. Note that the column highlighted in yellow is for Mountain Time.
