Free Solar Celebration Afternoon @ Casper Planetarium

It’s Sun Day on Saturday!  Bring your kids to the Casper Planetarium for a free afternoon of learning about the Sun.   Use a solar telescope and a Sunspotter to safely observe the Sun.  Participate in hands-on crafts like solar print-making.  Enjoy treats made with solar power.  See demos of solar-powered science toys and check out our high-tech sundial made on a 3-D printer right here at the Planetarium.  See a free show in the dome — “Solar Quest” is an 11-minute program about the Sun, and we’ll show it every 15 minutes during the celebration.

Plus, anyone who signs up for Summer Astronomy Camp during our Solar Celebration will receive a free gift.

No tickets or reservations needed — just come by any time between 2 and 4 for solar fun and learning.
